Request from Classic Scapes, Please do not water on Wednesday Mornings

Classic Scapes, the company who mows our front yards, has asked that households refrain from watering their lawns on Wednesday mornings.  As Wednesday is the day Classic Scapes mows, wet lawns cause multiple problems, they are harder to mow and if wet the lawn mowers may cause unsightly wheel marks or ruts in the grass.  At one time the City of Grapevine imposed water restrictions mandated that houses with an even address water on Wednesday/Saturdays only.  Those restrictions have been lifted (see http://www.grapevinetexas.gov/Home/tabid/36/ctl/ArticleView/mid/2151/articleId/226/Some-Watering-Restrictions-Lifted.aspx  for more details).

REMINDER, Please Pay your HOA Dues by July 15th

Dear Neighbors,

This letter is to remind you of the upcoming HOA dues.

Semi-annual dues for the period July 1, 2012, to December 31, 2012, are $425 per household.  Dues are to be paid by June 30, 2012, but will be considered timely if received by July 15, 2012.  If your payment is not received by July 15, 2012, a late fee of $25 will be assessed.  All checks will be cashed on or after July 15, 2012.  Please be timely with your payments.

Checks should be made out to “Grapevine Meadow Park Homeowners Association, Inc.” and sent by U.S. mail or hand-delivered to the residence of Monte Mercer.  Please do not leave your dues payment in the mailbox or at the front door.  To receive confirmation that payment was received, please provide an email address or telephone number.

If you have prepaid your dues in part or in full, your payment status will be annotated on this letter with the remaining balance due or the phrase “paid up,” respectively.

Water Restrictions Partially Lifted

Note Grapevine residents are no longer subject to watering on certain days based on the street address.  There are still restrictions for time of watering (i.e. no watering between 10 am and 6 pm)

Our Annual Meadow Park HOA meeting will be held 7 pm, Tuesday 
May 15th at the luxurious Merlot room by the Firehouse.  More details will be sent out this weekend.

We are looking for volunteers to serve on the board, please volunteer early and often!

The Polls have closed ...

and the results are in.  

Thanks to everyone who attended and to those who couldn't attend but filled out ballots.  We had 22 ballots cast, which is over 50% of the houses in the neighborhood.  Here are the final numbers:

Item 1:  New Section to General Provisions for Compliance and Enforcement - PASSED (19 for and 3 against)

Item 2:  New Provisions for Security Cameras - PASSED (21 for and 1 against)

Item 3:  Add wording to clarify the HOA rules on Easements and fencing - PASSED (21 for and 1 against).

We will post more details on next steps when we get them ready and we will be sure to discuss at the annual meeting in May.

Thanks so much for the big turnout, for you time, for listening, and trying to help us find solutions for the issues we are dealing with.
